SAP Solution Architect / Functional Lead

Stream-Flo Industries Inc.is currently seeking a full-time Solution Architect / Functional Lead on a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension.

The successful candidate can be hired as an employee or contractor.

The Solution Architect / Functional Lead will be responsible for defining corporate SAP strategy, and all business system architecture and integration points, SAP and non-SAP. They must understand the entire SAP solution end to end and business processes to ensure that the solution meets business requirements. This role reports to the Director of ERP Systems and will oversee all SAP functional leads.

Work Conditions:

• Monday to Friday, 8-hour day shift
• 6-month contract with the possibility of extension
• Can be hired as an employee or contractor
• Edmonton or Calgary location is preferred, but remote work is available

Responsibilities:

• Understands the inputs and outputs of the SAP modules (SD, CS, MM, WM, PP, QM, FI, CO, BPC) and products and how they integrate into the overall business system.
• Aids the organization to define new or changing business requirements including identifying benefits and creating business cases.
• Defines, scopes, and estimates solutions (SAP and non-SAP) to meet the functional requirements for business systems.
• Conducts workshops for defining business requirements.
• Responsible for the conversion of business requirements into an architecture. Defines the architecture based on documented business needs.
• Provides direction and guidance to SAP technical, functional, and business teams.
• Leads Functional consultant / specialist team in scope definition and design work.
• Coordinates solution developments and integration points making sure that solution is future-proof.
• Coordinates development of test scenarios and scripts.
• Plans and coordinates cutover and go live activities.
• Contributes to deliver new solution improvements on time and on budget.
• Prepares SAP solution strategy based on business requirements, analyzes the process to be modelled, and performs the business content checks.
• Establishes roadmaps for continuing improvements in the business system environment.
• Defines required documents for system development and maintenance.
• Responsible for creation and maintenance of detailed documents for business system and process changes.
• Provides quality assurance to the solutions, paying attention to the most complex or cross-domain processes and any custom development work that needs to be addressed.
• Responsible for quality review and consistency of system documents.
• Oversees System Integration Testing to confirm that solutions work.
• On projects, supports Project Manager to deliver a solution on time, budget and with high quality according to business requirements.
• Advises on testing approach and supports test execution.
• Leads defect resolution process.
• Participates in business process improvement initiatives.
• Supports in organizing efficient system support.
• Leads incident assessment and resolution process for more complex cases.
• Assists in defining user training requirements for system processes.
• Determines resources required to complete projects or improvement initiatives.
• Scopes and estimates the engagement of required resources.
• Helps to select required resources.
• Assesses, documents, and communicates the risks.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years in SAP solution architecture and experience with SAP S/4 HANA
• 10+ years of SAP implementation, configuration, integration, and leadership experience
• Discrete Manufacturing industry understanding and expertise is an asset
• Deep knowledge of SAP ERP, BPC, Mobile, Document Management, Archiving
• Bachelor of Commerce or Engineering Degree, Bachelor's Degree in Computing Science or Management Information Systems, or equivalent
• SAP Certification is an asset
• Superior written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal abilities
• Strong ability to think logically to aid decision making
• Deep knowledge of SAP solutions
• Extensive experience in SAP's best practices
• Can conduct architecture, process, and design workshop as well as design reviews
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Project and Visio
• Strong Presentation skills including building decks (PowerPoint)
• Certification in Business Analysis and/or Architecture is an asset
