This position will work in Quality Control in Marietta, GA, to support all aspects of the C-130J build cycle to include assembly, structural repairs on sub or major assemblies, and functional checks.
This position is responsible for ensuring QA policies, procedures, and practices are followed and executed correctly to company and regulatory standards
Initiates, reviews, analyzes, and reports on quality-related data/metrics from production, service, supplier, or process improvement activities and analyzes using statistical techniques
Interfaces as needed with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor, and subcontractor representatives to ensure process requirements are met
Facilitate customer presentations for Mandatory Government Inspections (MGI) and/or Safety of Flight activities (SOF)
Conduct surveillance audits for compliance to the C-130 Quality Management System
Responsible for developing and coordinating defect containment actions
Collaborate with Quality Engineering on the root cause of defects and development of robust corrective actions.
Provide mentorship and on-the-job training related to quality control methods, techniques, and tools to the inspectors and/or quality control workforce
Review completed assembly, process, test, mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical quality records to determine data accuracy, acceptability, and completeness
Manages the quality records control process to assure adequate accountability and traceability
As required, the scope of work may span across shifts.
A level 3 employee Typically has 5 - 10 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications
Minimum 6 years of aircraft manufacturing experience
Surveillance or auditing experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to read and understand technical requirements (e.g., specifications, engineering drawings, work orders, technical orders, technical publications, etc)
Ability to interface in a cross-functional environment (e.g., engineering, quality, production, supply chain, program office)
Self-starter with knowledge and understanding of quality processes and disciplines
Experience with DCMA customer integration or communication
Previous experience working with data and developing metrics
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.
Desired skills
Bachelor's degree in a manufacturing or related engineering discipline
Strong working knowledge of industry standards such as AS9100, ISO9001, 8210, etc.
Experience as a team lead gathering and/or analyzing data to solve technical/process problems or develop a surveillance plan
Experience utilizing precision measuring tools and inspection equipment
Familiarity with Customer Presentations (DCMA) and or Safety of Flight inspections on the C130J or similar military aircraft
Working knowledge of EDW, DIMS, QADS, DIMS, and SFM systems

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
