Position Summary:

Reporting to the IT Business Partner for Commercial, the Senior Business Systems Manager is responsible for the planning, design, implementation and support of IT systems for the G&A and Commercial business functions. The role will partner with the various business functions to provide project management, business analysis, and technical support for IT related projects. In addition, this role will closely partner with the IT Business Partners in the execution of IT projects as defined by the technology roadmap. This role will be responsible for business requirements analysis, solution selection, implementation, and vendor management for all related systems. This role is also responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant Crinetics and governmental policies (e.g. SOX, 21CFR part 11) for all related systems.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

These may include but are not limited to:
  • Manage projects to implement new functionality or update existing functionality for all G&A and Commercial systems.
  • Lead/manage internal and external resources in support of business-related projects and activities.
  • Provide day-to-day application support including responding to application support issues from multiple business customers including Finance, HR, Legal, and Commercial.
  • Manage the implementation, administration and support of systems within 'On Premises', 'Hosted', and 'SaaS/Cloud' solutions within a heavily regulated industry.
  • Partner with QA, Business Partners and project teams to create Computer Systems Validation plan including Installation Qualification (IQ), Operation Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ) documents for relevant GxP applications.
  • Partner with the Finance and Compliance functions to ensure SOX compliance and participate in associated internal and external SOX related audits on an ongoing basis.
  • Test new solutions and fixes to existing platforms and perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.
  • Responsible for review of all application configuration changes and for coordination of review and approval with Quality for any relevant GxP applications per Change Management SOP.
  • Support the resolution of complex, cross-functional issues using strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Mentor, coach, and manage team performance by establishing specific goals and objectives.
  • Serve as an influential leader by demonstrating professionalism, passion, enthusiasm, and fostering teamwork and collaboration.


Education and Experience:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science or information systems or related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience required with 12 years of professional experience.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience providing direct support of either G&A or Commercial based applications, preferably in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry
  • Knowledge of technologies critical within biotech G&A or Commercial organizations. Examples include key technologies such as ERP Systems (Finance, HR, Supply Chain), Financial Reporting & Planning Systems, Commercial CRM Systems.
  • Demonstrated experience working within a heavily regulated environment including a thorough understanding of SOX and 21CFR Part 11
  • Experience in technical project management for large, complex applications.
  • Experience providing application support in a fast-paced, high-growth business environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, possessing the ability to communicate at both a technical level as well as at a business subject area level
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills and delivery focused orientation
  • Proven adaptability to shifting project schedules, priorities and assignments; able to make effective decisions under pressure

Preferred:
  • Extensive experience working with Veeva Vault for Medical & Promotional, Vault CRM, and analytics platforms such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Experience working with Finance applications such as NetSuite, Coupa, Adaptive or Concur
  • Project management experience or certifications such as PMP, ITIL, Agile
  • Experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred.


Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Physical Activities: On a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Some walking and lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required. The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate. Travel:

You may be required to travel for up to 5% of your time.

The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience and education. Salary Range

The salary range for this position is: $139,000 - $174,000.
