Description:

Tundra Federal is looking for a Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)/Cameo Senior Engineer to model the static and dynamic behavior of a global network that is evolving towards SD-WAN, SASE, and Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) standards. The objective of the model is to ensure Compliance, and to test the upgrade architecture prior to implementation. The candidate must have experience with Cameo, and a proven track record with Object-Oriented MBSE (OOMBSE) and Variant Modeling on very large and complex projects. The candidate must have experience with MBSE automation and reporting strategies in the context of Change Management and Compliance, and be used to working with Agile Methodologies. Experience with networking modeling is a big plus. Candidates must have Secret Clearance and prior experience with Department of Defense (DoD) programs.

Responsibilities

  • Advanced static and dynamic Cameo modeling.
  • Engage in meticulous documentation for all phases of the system's lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD regulations and security protocols.
  • Collaborate with internal and external architects, engineers, and other program team members.
  • Provide status updates to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Cameo Systems Modeler.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Cameo Simulation Toolkit's features and capabilities, including setting up and running simulations, interpreting results, and troubleshooting (ability to customize and extend the toolkit's functionality, possibly through scripting or developing custom plugins a plus).
  • Expertise in defining and managing parameters and constraints within models to enable detailed and accurate simulations.
  • Skills in integrating Cameo with other software, such as MATLAB, for enhanced simulation capabilities. This includes understanding how to set up and manage data exchange and execution of external scripts or functions..
  • Demonstrated experience using featured models, Object-Oriented Systems Engineering (OOSE), Variability Modeling, and other approaches to manage very large and complex models that must be highly Agile.
  • Hands-on experience using Agile methodology.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate complex modeling and simulation concepts clearly to stakeholders.
  • Prior experience with DoD or similar sectors where complex systems are developed.
  • Knowledge of Change Management processes and practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Certifications:
    • SysML Model Builder Intermediate OR Cameo Certified Model Builder - Intermediate.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree or higher in Systems Engineering or related field, emphasizing model-based approaches.
  • Experience interfacing Cameo with GNS-3.
  • Experience with SD-WAN based networks.
