Salary/Benefits: Full-time BA, Step 1, $50,009 to MA+60, Step 25, 118,928. Part-time salary prorated based on FTE (Additional compensation may be available for stipend opportunities.) TRS Pension and sick leave. If selected, other benefits include medical, dental and life insurance, HSA, Roth, 403b and 457 investment options, flex spending, etc.
Qualifications:
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with related Endorsements A Master's Degree is preferred Successful teaching experience in the middle school level
Job Duties: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the humanities or English language arts, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated commitment to fostering the success of students working above grade level. This teacher will design and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons that promote critical thinking, reading, writing, and communication skills to advanced-level students.
This teacher will be expected to collaborate with colleagues, analyze student data to improve instructional practices, establish a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and risk-taking, communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and other stakeholders regarding student performance and progress, participate in professional development opportunities to continually enhance content knowledge and pedagogical skills, and maintain accurate records and comply with all school/district policies and procedures.
