The salary range(s) represents our good faith estimate for the role at this time. Senior Quality Assurance Automation Tester - Pay Range: $85,800.00 - $109,450.00

Quality Assurance Automation Tester II - Pay Range: - $76,000.00 - $96,900.00

Join Our Team as a QA Automation Tester!

Are you passionate about quality and innovation? At SPP, we're looking for a QA Automation Tester to help shape the future of our software products. You'll play a critical role in driving our enterprise testing strategy, ensuring every release meets the highest standards.

As part of our collaborative QA team, you'll work with modern tools like TestCafe, TestComplete, ReadyAPI, and CI/CD pipelines to build and maintain robust automation frameworks. From UI and API testing to security and performance validation, you'll take on a variety of challenges that will keep you engaged and growing.

What You'll Do:
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration of tests in CI/CD workflows.
  • Perform comprehensive testing across UI, API, security, and performance.
  • Lead testing efforts within your domain expertise and mentor team members on automation best practices.
  • Continuously research and adopt the latest QA tools and trends.

What We're Looking For:
  • 4-6 years of experience in QA automation with a strong focus on framework development.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, or similar languages.
  • Hands-on experience with tools like TestCafe, TestComplete, ReadyAPI, and CI/CD environments.
  • Expertise in one or more testing domains (UI, API, security).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive mindset, with a passion for mentoring and continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with omnichannel, security, and performance testing is a big plus.

To be successful in the role we're looking for:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology-related field or equivalent experience
  • Senior Quality Assurance Automation Tester (Remote Eligible): Eight (8) years of applicable Information Technology Development/Support experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Quality Assurance Automation Tester II: Three (3) years' experience of Information Technology Development/Support experience

Preferred:
  • Two (2) or more years applicable utility industry experience
  • Familiar with CI\CD pipelines
  • Familiar with Agile and DevSecOps methodologies
  • Familiar with Release and Change Management
  • Certifications: ISTQB Certified Tester, Selenium WebDriver Certification, Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP), AWS Certified Developer, OWASP Secure Coding Certification, CSM, SAFe Agilist, Postman API Testing Certification, and Performance Testing Certifications (e.g., JMeter or Gatling-specific certifications)

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type, Location, and Hours:

This is a full-time, hybrid onsite position located in Little Rock, Arkansas. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional extended hours as needed. Remote work may be considered for senior-level candidates who reside more than 50 miles from SPP headquarters.

Travel Requirement:
  • This position requires minimal travel (approximately 10%).
