Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-driven Senior FP&A Manager to facilitate our financial planning, forecasting, analysis, and reporting functions for Powertrain business globally. This critical role will drive financial performance, provide business insights, and enhance the financial acumen across our business. The Senior FP&A Manager will oversee core planning cycles, develop sophisticated analyses, manage financial systems/processes, and act as a business partner to the management team.

This role will be in-person and primarily based in Northville, Michigan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate the annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, weekly flash and long-range strategic planning processes, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Manage the consolidation of financial plans and forecasts from various regions and functions
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive monthly/quarterly financial reporting packages for senior management
  • Provide in-depth analysis of financial results, identifying key trends, variances, risks, and opportunities with actionable recommendations
  • Oversee detailed profitability analysis (by product, customer, platform, region) to support strategic decision-making
  • Lead cost analysis initiatives, particularly related to manufacturing variances, material costs, and overheads
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the FP&A function, enhancing processes, models, and systems
  • Oversight the financial planning and reporting systems (ERP, One Stream/BI tools)
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and efficiency in all FP&A processes and reporting outputs
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models and templates.

Required Qualification & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • +10 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, operation finance, or related roles, with a significant portion within a manufacturing environment (automotive industry preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and core accounting principles; understanding of cost accounting in a manufacturing setting is critical
  • Deep experience with integrated ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, QAD) and sophisticated FP&A/BI tools (e.g. Hyperion, OneStream, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills in the English language; exceptional presentational skills, with the ability to vary delivery and style to fit the intended audience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to create and maintain productive work relationships.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team development and driving cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong business acumen and ability to understand complex business drivers within the automotive sector
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
