Awardco is seeking a highly experienced and intellectually curious Director, Strategy & Growth to join our Corporate Development department, a small, high-leverage team focused on maximizing Awardco's long-term value. This role will be pivotal in shaping and executing both organic growth initiatives and strategic partnerships. The Director will act as a trusted advisor to internal collaborators and leadership, leveraging exceptional partner management and business development skills to provide strategic recommendations that achieve key business objectives. This individual will also function as a general manager, driving complex, cross-functional workstreams to optimize integrations and implement effective growth strategies.

What you will do:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive growth strategies, encompassing both organic initiatives and strategic partnerships, aligned with Awardco's overarching corporate objectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to internal collaborators and leadership by showcasing highly effective partner management and business development skills and providing strategic recommendations to achieve key business objectives.
  • Tackle hard, ambiguous questions related to growth and strategy with rigor and independence, owning projects from problem definition to final recommendation.
  • Act as a general manager by driving complex workstreams with product, marketing, engineering, etc. Set priorities, optimize integrations, and develop and implement strategies for growth.
  • Cut through complexity to identify growth opportunities and risks across Awardco's products, customers, and markets, encompassing both internal initiatives and external collaborations.
  • Partner closely with teams across the company (Product, Sales, Marketing, Engineering) to influence their direction, set priorities, optimize integrations, and develop and implement strategies for growth.
  • Evaluate whitespace business, product, and partnership opportunities in adjacent markets to fuel future growth.
  • Drive strategic decisions by crisply framing growth opportunities and challenges, evaluating potential paths, and surfacing key tradeoffs - enabling Awardco to move quickly.
  • Work with Awardco's leadership team to ensure the company is positioned to execute on its growth strategy in the near- and long-term.
  • Identify and evaluate product and marketing levers to influence partnership growth, and develop models to drive success aligned to broader business goals.

What you will bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of progressive work experience in management consulting, business strategy, corporate development, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or a comparable role in high-growth tech companies, with a significant focus on driving growth and managing partnerships.
  • You excel at hypothesis-driven problem solving using quantitative and qualitative approaches in the context of strategic growth initiatives and partnerships.
  • You can look at growth opportunities from novel perspectives and distill clarifying insights that connect with wide audiences.
  • You communicate extremely well and are able to develop compelling narratives 1 around growth strategies and partnership rationale and potential.
  • Experience within the SaaS or technology industry.
  • Proven ability to drive complex, cross-functional projects related to growth and partnerships with end-to-end ownership and successful outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing go-to-market strategies for new initiatives and partnerships, coupled with strong partner management skills.
  • Established network of contacts within relevant industries and a demonstrated track record of effective partner management and business development skills.
