Salary Range: $90,000-$120,000 with bonus potential

Overview:
William Chris Wine Co. is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Wholesale Director with a passion for distributor relations and driving sales. This role focuses on expanding our distribution business and taking our brands to the next level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Distributor & Market Management
    • Support existing distributors, direct business, and export channels while leading a goal-oriented team.
    • Establish and maintain communication with distributors to drive placements, sales, and market pricing.
    • Stay informed on market players, brand presentation protocols, and new placements.
    • Conduct market visits for wholesaler presentations, tastings, and direct-to-consumer events.
    • Provide ongoing education and training for wholesaler and account staff.
    • Manage distributor relationships and oversee resources for market and product launches.
    • Drive placements in new accounts to boost sales volume.
    • Create budget in collaboration with VP of sales and effectively manage to meet expectations.
  • New Distributor Identification & Expansion
    • Identify new distributors in additional states based on brand opportunities.
    • Hold initial discussions with wholesalers to assess compatibility.
    • Present distributor recommendations to the VP of Sales and ownership for final selection.
    • Coordinate meetings between ownership and wholesalers.
  • Broad Market Sales Support
    • Conduct tastings and trainings at key accounts, both locally and out-of-state/country.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead and manage a team of 3 sales professionals as well as department goals in collaboration with Vice President of Sales.
    • Effectively manage yearly budget.


  • Requirements

    • 5+ years of wine wholesale and distributor management experience.
    • In-depth knowledge of buyers, promotional practices, and operations in the wine industry.
    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with a deep wine knowledge.
    • Team player, collaborating across teams and markets while supporting company-wide initiatives.
    • Self-motivated with excellent multitasking abilities.
    • Flexible schedule, willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
    • Able to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
    • Strong prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
    • Professional appearance and adherence to hygiene standards.


    Salary Description

    Annually, plus bonus potential
