Salary Pay Range

USD $76,416/Annually

Max

USD $102,948/Annually

This salary range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At NEU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise personnel within the department, and provide goals, guidance, resources, training, and other support to allow the staff perform at a high level. This includes performance management.
  • Organize make plans and set goals for the department that is within the policy and direction set by upper management.
  • Communicate with overseas branches regarding special, new, or potential traffic/customers. Also, provide window of communication to overseas branches.
  • Air Import revenue and profit expansion to increase business.
  • Communication with other departments as needed.
  • Communicate with customers regarding issues, new service, etc. Visit customers in order to develop good relationships and to acquire important information that may affect future business.
  • Generate reports and analyze various types of data such as revenue, costs, volume, trends, etc. Reports should be useful to upper management as well as understanding the status of the department.
  • Responsible for Accounts Receivable (All accounts) to make sure unpaid invoices will be paid in timely manner.
  • Sales calls for new/old customers to increase business opportunity. Work in conjunction with the sales department.
  • Coordination or supervising special cargo at site such as airport or delivery address.
  • Prepare customer quotations or give approval to ones prepared by sales staff.
  • Leads the lower grade subordinate staff

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate or significant or relevant or appropriate working experience. Some college preferred.
  • Approximately 10 years department or industry experience
  • Analytical skill (Familiar with logistics concept and planning concept)
  • Working Knowledge of general and Import/Export Computer application technology
  • Knowledge of international commerce (Incoterms, method, customs regulations etc.)
  • Knowledge of Consolidator system
  • Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT), State, Federal and Interstate Commerce commission (ICC) regulation desirable.


Organization Relationships:

This position will interact with branch colleagues, leadership staff, and office /warehouse personnel. Must be able to work with customers, vendors, and outside organizations.

Work Environment:
