Overview
Physician will serve as the Behavioral Health Physician Executive over all of Northern Arizona Healthcare's Behavioral Health Services and will report to the NAHMG President. In order to develop and maintain a highly reliable and clinically excellent healthcare system, NAH requires the services of physicians to act as Physician Executives for various programs, departments, and employed groups. The goal of Physician Executive services is to utilize physician expertise in alignment with organizational goals to provide safe, highly reliable, evidence-based care across the system.

Essential Job Functions
Clinical and Strategic Support
- Provide clinical expertise in Physician's field to NAHMG administration
- Establish and uphold clinical practice standards
- Attend and participate in meetings/projects to improve clinical outcomes
- Engaged in all aspects of Value Based Care discussions, education and success that are relevant to behavioral health
Compliance and Safety
- Participate in, apply, and promote considerations of Just Culture
- Assist in creating and maintaining a culture of safety
- Hold peers and colleagues accountable for their actions and behaviors
- Assist NAH and NAHMG administration and department leadership in meeting federal, state, and other regulatory standards
Forecasting and Budgeting
- Align with NAHMG administration on setting, guiding, and achieving organizational goals
- Assist departments/programs in meeting budget goals through clinical guidance
- Select clinical equipment and supplies for the service line, in partnership with supply chain and value analysis committee
Recruitment and Provider Relationships
- Assist in education and leadership of clinical staff
- Assist in recruitment and retention of physicians/providers
- Develop and maintain physician relationships within and between different clinical departments as well as across Northern Arizona
- Have regular presence at all NAHMG psychiatry practices, at least on a quarterly basis
- Contributes feedback and participates in APP reviews/evaluations and meets quarterly with each provider
Qualifications
Education
Graduate of an approved medical school as an M.D. or D.O.- Required
Experience
Completed residency or fellowship program - Required
Certification & Licensures
- Obtain and maintain board certification in the Specialty, including recertification, as required by NAH's Medical Staff Bylaws - Required
- Maintain an Arizona medical license and DEA license without restriction - Required
- Board eligible or Board certified in Psychiatry as specified in the Medical Staff Bylaws - Required
