Description:
Why Should You Join the Advisor Experience Technology Delivery Team at LPL Financial?
At LPL Financial, we are on a transformational journey marked by a relentless commitment to innovation and excellence. Our mission is straightforward yet impactful: to empower financial advisors with the most advanced tools and insights, enabling them to offer personalized, efficient, and seamless experiences to their clients.
Central to this mission is our Advisor Experience Technology Delivery team, which is tasked with developing next-generation technology solutions that will fundamentally redefine the wealth management landscape. We're looking for a senior technology executive to help lead one of the most critical transformations in our advisor platform: ensuring our systems are stable, scalable, and built to deliver a consistently excellent advisor experience.
As the SVP of Advisor Technology Resiliency & Experience Enablement, you will serve as a senior right hand to the CIO, helping stabilize and strengthen our advisor-facing platforms in the near term while building the systems and practices to reduce client friction and increase confidence long term. With that in mind, this role requires extensive experience in wealth management (or a related discipline), ideally including both product strategy and engineering experience.
This role combines operational urgency with long-term strategy. You'll lead a tiger team of expert engineers and oversee a $28M investment portfolio focused on improving the advisor experience-eliminating friction, accelerating stability, and building confidence across the platform. This pivotal position sits at the heart of engineering and product strategy. As we make significant investments in our key technology assets and platforms, this role emerges as one cornerstone of our mission to revolutionize the way financial services are delivered and experienced by our clients. It's a chance to make a significant impact, not just within our company, but in the broader financial industry and the lives of our advisors.

LPL Financial (Nasdaq: LPLA) was founded on the principle that the firm should work for the advisor, and not the other way around. Today, LPL is a leader* in the markets we serve, supporting more than 29,000 financial advisors, 1,100 institution-based investment programs, and 500 independent RIA firms nationwide. We are steadfast in our commitment to the advisor-centered model and the belief that Americans deserve access to personalized guidance from a financial advisor. Job Overview:
In this role, you will act as the connective tissue across the organization, fostering relationships with internal partners across the entire value stream delivery to our advisors. This involves building strong partnerships, ensuring alignment, and driving collaborative efforts to enhance the advisor experience through seamless technology integration and delivery.
Responsibilities:
As SVP of Technology, you will be entrusted with a range of critical responsibilities that are pivotal to our mission and strategic outcomes.
Serve as the 'czar' for near-term stabilization of the advisor technology stack, with clear accountability for driving improvement in system uptime, performance, and end-user friction
Lead and coordinate cross-functional efforts spanning engineering, infrastructure, product, support, and SRE to address the root causes of instability and system fragility
Act as a central synthesizer of advisor experience data: integrating client feedback, field insights, telemetry, and incident learnings into a unified view of platform pain points
Drive prioritization of both functional and non-functional improvements to reduce friction and improve advisor trust
Lead a tiger team of expert engineers focused on rapid resolution of the most persistent and high-impact platform pain points
Serve as the administrator of a $28M cross-functional investment portfolio dedicated to improving advisor experience and eliminating system friction
Partner with delivery teams across the technology organization to ensure these funds are deployed against the most critical stability and usability challenges
Partner closely with the CTO, who formally owns the enterprise resiliency program, and across the entire technology organization to ensure advisor needs are represented and urgent platform risks are addressed
Own and evolve a stability scorecard and roadmap specific to advisor-facing systems and platforms
Bring operational discipline, engineering fluency, and executive presence to represent this body of work with the firm's senior leadership
What are we looking for?

Experience managing large-scale cross-functional initiatives with both operational urgency and strategic impact
Passionate about creating technology experiences that earn user trust, especially in high-accountability domains like financial services
Adept at operating across boundaries: between CIO/CTO, product/engineering, infrastructure/apps, support/field
Ability to translate technical data into business-relevant insight and action
Adept at seeing the big picture; a top-down thinker with the strategic agility to go both broad and deep depending on the problem at hand and the audience
Proven track record in leading large-scale technology transformation initiatives, particularly in cloud-based environments.
Strong experience with technology architectures, cloud solutions, and real-time processing use cases.
Track record of leading successful stabilization efforts in complex, multi-platform environments
Strong fluency in system resiliency principles, telemetry, observability, and service reliability engineering
Core Competencies:
