• ResponsibilitiesResponsible for developing and modernizing web service / java code and conducting system walkthroughs and formal reviews. Responsible for design, development and documentation of modernization code/techniques that functionality remains the same to satisfy user, business, statutory and system requirements. Analysis for Cobol processes to be selected for code modernization. Conduct analysis according to standards and prepare documentation including User Stories, Use Cases or other requirement documentation. Review analysis and design documentation with the modernization architects for build consensus. Using both analysis and design documentation, create program documentation along with test plan and training documentation used in all subsequent phases of the project life cycle. Testing Support including assisting in the development of functional testing requirements for modernization of existing system features. Participate in performance and stress testing prior to production implementation. Assist in estimating and scheduling of a project or project tasks. Production Support including assisting IT Organizations to troubleshoot and resolve problems.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

• Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, related Engineering disciplines, or related field plus six (6) years of related experience required. The company will also accept a Master's degree and four (4) years of related experience.
• Work Experience. Four (4) years of experience must include: COBOL; DB2; SQL; QMF; Agile; Scrum; U.S. and Canadian payroll; JIRA. Experience must also include one (1) year of experience in: Java; Web Services.
