TITLE: Controls Technician II
REPORTS TO: Director - Controls
JOB DUTIES / GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
The Controls Technician II has a solid grasp of HVAC systems and controls, some programming experience in at least one line and has the ability to do lower-level startups and commissioning. This technician has more than 3 years of experience in controls industry and may hold a certification in controls programming of BACnet Advance Application Controllers and operation knowledge of Niagara AX or N4. The technician is able to diagnose, repair and program trouble situations in most cases, as well as coordinate activates of subcontractors and maintain schedules on smaller jobs.
The Controls Technician will be involved in many areas of Building Automation and Energy Management Controls, and will perform duties in Controls Service, Construction Startup and Controls Programming.
THIS IS A SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION.
Pay Range: $80,000 - $100,000 per year

- In depth knowledge of HVAC systems, basic skills in actual controls programming, and able to do lower-level start-up and commissioning.
- On site performance to assure projects are completed in a professional manner and on time.
- Perform job duties in timely manner and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Support others in the controls and mechanical service division to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Attends reviews of projects with owners on an ongoing and closeout basis.
- Project closeout to include assisting with documents and obtaining letters of satisfaction from our customer.
- Assists in the monthly evaluation of job costs and cost to complete projections.
- Produces effective & professional documentation of project activities.
- Attends weekly production meetings.
- Promptly address customers' needs and immediately reports all issues that are of an urgent nature to Controls Engineer and/or Director - Controls.
- Provide Director of Controls and Project Manager weekly e-mail updates regarding project status.
- Ensure all assigned work is conducted in a safe and effective manner.
- Assist in the resolution of project problems in a timely manner via frequent and clear communications with Controls Engineer and/or Director - Controls.
