Description:
Manages the general accounting functions and accounting staff. Ensures compliance with generally accepted accounting procedures. Responsible for the accurate and timely general ledger and period end closings. Prepares or supervises the preparation of balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, data forecasts, cash flow data, and other reports. Reconciles assets and liabilities. May conduct asset valuations and participate in the budget planning process.
Position Responsibilities may include;
Develops, analyzes, and interprets accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization.
Furnishes internal reports, revises and updates reports to be more useful and efficient
Furnishes external reports as necessary.
Maintains a system of accounts and keeps books and records on all company transactions and assets.
Presents financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Ensures that the system of internal controls and the system of accounting controls are in place and functioning properly.
Ensures that a cash management process is in place and functions in order to monitor and control cash requirements.
Ensures the proper consolidation of multiple-company financial statements.
Coordinates the annual audit of the financial records for Corporate Accounting with independent auditors.
Oversees department personnel needs, including selecting, coaching, and training employees and evaluating employee performance.
Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.
Participate in additional activities/projects.
Nature & Scope:
Ensures work is aligned with the Director's expectations, goals, and vision
Accountable for the implementation of policies, processes, and procedures for short-term results
Decisions and problem-solving are guided by policies, procedures, and business plan; receives guidance from Senior Manager/Director
Works on difficult to moderately complex issues and projects
Provides guidance and training to subordinates
Has authority to hire, recommend pay, establish performance,e and recommend for termination
Level of signing authority established by company policy/guidelines
Knowledge & Skills:
Strong leadership skills; proven supervisory experience.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with a variety of accounting concepts, practices & procedures.
Knowledge of MS Office and advanced skills in MS Excel and MS Word.
Ability to work with deadlines.
Ability to work and interact with all levels of employees throughout the organization.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Experience:
10+ years of experience in all aspects of accounting
Education/Certification:
BA/BS in Accounting plus Certified Public Accountant or MBA or equivalent years of experience directly in accounting
People Management: Yes

Compensation: $107,550.00 - $134,695.00
