The RCRA Federal Facilities Section Manager manages the RCRA Federal Facilities Section. Directs and manages activities of technical staff for RCRA permitting and corrective action at active / former military installations in South Carolina, and at the DOE Savannah River Site (SRS); manages the DoD State Memorandum of Agreement (DSMOA) Cooperative Agreement budget requests, workflow, and reporting requirements. Manages requirements for the Site Treatment Plan budgeting process.

Job Responsibilities:
- Stay current with the remedial work efforts for each DoD facility and convert that knowledge into Department resources needs with regards to the coordination of the DSMOA. Stay current on Department status of meeting current year needs of DoD and DOE facilities as reflected in the Joint Execution Plans (JEPs), SRS Federal Facility Agreement (FFA), and SRS Site Treatment Plan (STP).
- Plans and supervises activities of technical staff in RCRA permitting and corrective action activities
- Provide programmatic and technical guidance to staff who review complex hazardous waste cleanup activities to ensure consistent decisions.
- Provide technical and professional consultation to the public and government officials on matters of environmental concern.
- Ensure appropriate staff training needs are identified and accomplished, and employee performance evaluations are completed in accordance with Department policy.
- Assist Director with administrative and programmatic duties as required. Perform other related duties as required.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in the natural or physical sciences, public health or related technical field and six (6) years of experience.
- Or a master's degree in the natural or physical sciences, public health, or related technical field and five (5) years of environmental experience.

- Extensive knowledge of principles and practices of federal and state environmental laws, rules and regulations governing radioactive waste and infectious waste.
- Thorough knowledge of state administrative, personnel, budgetary, and legislative procedures. A
