The Impact you will have in this role:

The Operational Risk Senior Manager, a member of the Operational Risk Management (ORM) function, has oversight of teams responsible for supporting enterprise-wide risk tolerance, reporting and emerging & systemic risk processes and programs. Working with ORM and enterprise-wide risk teams, support functions and business groups, this Senior Manager establishes, enhances and maintains protocols for identifying, analyzing, reporting, advancing and mitigating risks. Demonstrating a strong understanding of enterprise risk taxonomy, assessment, governance, and reporting processes, industry knowledge and standard methodologies, regulatory guidance and expectations this Senior Manager supports ongoing processes and programs to drive strong enterprise risk management practices across the organization.

Your Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic direction and oversee risk management activities to meet team, department, and company goals. Take the lead on regulatory requests, exams and audits. Accountable for action plans from audits and exams.
  • Direct activities of, lead and/or actively participate in multiple Working Groups and Committee activities designed to drive risk management across the organization.
  • Oversees team performance, develops and coaches direct reports and the team.
  • Act as a strategic advisor for risk initiatives. Prioritize team's book of work, focusing on high-value, critical projects that align to the overall strategic risk management goals across the enterprise. Proactively mitigate roadblocks.
  • Demonstrate ability to develop, distill, and present complex information, metrics and reporting appropriate for audiences at all levels of inside and outside the organization including, but not limited to, Management Risk Committee and the Board Risk Committee.
  • Ensure performance against departmental benchmarks.
  • Develop and recommend strategies and tactical approaches that streamline activities and increase efficiency to eliminate bottlenecks. Perform gap analysis of processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and account for emerging risks.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with business partners, support functions and risk areas. Lead discussions with internal and external customers to plan and complete process enhancements.
  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills, lead meetings and provide thought leadership. Foster an environment of regulatory awareness and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with control functions to ensure standardization of Corporate and Operational Risk management policies, procedures and contractual requirements. Leverage uses technical subject matter expertise to implement process improvements.
  • Provide guidance, training and support on Corporate and Operational Risk policies, practices and procedures for staff and impacted partners at all levels of the organization.
  • Mitigates risk by following established procedures, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations. Our Risk Management teams work to protect the safety and soundness of our systems and are responsible for identifying, managing, measuring and mitigating a spectrum of key risk types including credit, market, liquidity, systemic, operational and technology in all existing and new products, activities, processes and systems.
