1 Resource Group is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Procurement to lead the procurement operations within the electrical field specializing in power distribution and motor controls. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with the company's goals, ensuring the availability of high-quality materials and services while optimizing costs. The Director of Procurement will manage a team of procurement professionals, fostering a collaborative environment that drives efficiency and innovation. Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies that support the company's strategic objectives.
  • Oversee the procurement process for materials, products, and services, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Lead and mentor the procurement team, providing guidance and support to enhance performance and professional development.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, supplier performance, and cost structures to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Ensure timely procurement of materials and services in alignment with project schedules.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify procurement needs and address any challenges.
  • Implement procurement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement regulations, processes, and best practices, specifically in the construction industry.
  • Proven experience in contract negotiation and supplier management.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
