Job Title: Electrical Test Equipment Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Test Equipment Engineer to join our expanding team in Greenfield, driven by increased business in the EV automotive space. This role will be an integral part of a EV Regional Production Engineering group for Electric Vehicle products, focusing on inverter modules. You will be responsible for supporting activities to design, source, and establish test equipment, processes, and quotations for inverter programs. The position involves ensuring that production equipment operates to specifications and meets customer requirements, including verification and qualification for mass production.
Responsibilities
  • Design and source test equipment for inverter programs.
  • Support the establishment of testing processes and quotations.
  • Ensure production equipment operates according to specifications and customer requirements.
  • Verify and qualify equipment for mass production utilization.
  • Focus on designing equipment and working with suppliers at the initial phase.
  • Oversee the project during the production phase of the machinery.
  • Ensure proper installation and operation of equipment during the final phase.
  • Spend time on the manufacturing floor, at the desk, and in meetings with internal team members and suppliers.
  • Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally, including trips to Japan.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering Technology, or Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in an electronics test engineering role.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suites programs.
  • Experience with CAD (AutoCAD or similar).
  • Experience working with high and low voltages or Power Electronics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous work experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Bilingual in Japanese.
Work Environment

This role involves working on the manufacturing floor, in an office environment, and attending meetings both in person and virtually. The position requires up to 25% travel, including domestic trips to other facilities and international travel to Japan, which may last up to 1 or 2 weeks. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
