We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Commodity Sourcing Senior Manager to lead sub-assembly and make vs. buy sourcing strategies for our products and programs. This role is critical in shaping supplier relationships, managing costs, and mitigating risks within the supply chain. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, quality, and efficiency in our sourcing strategies.

How You'll Create Possibilities

Responsibilities:
  • Lead sub-assembly and make vs. buy sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships for assigned commodities.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in technology, materials, negotiations, market trends, and competition.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to drive material cost reductions while ensuring quality, delivery, and cash flow goals are met.
  • Manage direct supplier relationships, including contract negotiations, supply chain management, problem resolution, and process improvement.
  • Utilize request-for-quote (RFQ) tools to analyze supplier data and drive sourcing initiatives.
  • Lead strategic negotiations and ensure agreements align with business goals.
  • Identify supplier risks and drive mitigation efforts to maintain a resilient supply chain.
  • Collaborate with R&D, marketing, product management, and operations to integrate supplier innovations into our products.
  • Serve as a liaison between suppliers and internal teams to support new product introductions (NPI) and ongoing programs.


What You'll Bring to Our Team

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in supply chain, program management, commodity management, or a related role.
  • Strong experience in supplier negotiations, contract management, and strategic sourcing.
  • Background in managing distribution partners and supporting product transitions, excess, and obsolescence.
  • Ability to translate complex business inputs into actionable sourcing plans.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience working with complex bills of material (BOM) and engineering-driven requirements.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
  • Six Sigma or equivalent certification.
  • Prior experience in sourcing and purchasing, particularly in controls or sourced products.
