About the Role:

You will be part of a team responsible for shipping highly effective, engaging, and easy-to-use features for our mobile application. You'll work closely with design and product teammates to help author the team's strategic roadmap, create and prioritize a backlog of ready work, and seek and destroy blockers to daily progress to help your team maintain laser focus on its goals.

The ideal candidate has extensive expertise in React Native application development and demonstrates strong project management skills to keep the team on track to deliver high-quality results on ambitious projects.

We enjoy a continuous deployment DevOps culture, and take owner-operator pride in supporting our code in production with an on-call rotation. Rotations vary by team.

Our production systems rely on React Native, React, Node.js, Typescript, NestJS, GraphQL, Docker, Rails, AWS, Postgres, Redis and Redux. Our workflow is trunk-based CI/CD, and our security/compliance posture is at the highest standards of healthcare, including HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2, and CCPA.
What You'll Accomplish
  • Guide and mentor engineers on best practices in React Native and TypeScript, elevating code quality and technical depth across the team
  • Increase test coverage and automation for critical mobile workflows, reducing regressions and supporting confident deployments
  • Contribute to strategic technical decisions during sprint planning, design reviews, and architecture discussions, shaping the direction of the mobile platform
  • Proactively identify and implement platform improvements, such as CI/CD enhancements, dependency management, and build optimizations
  • Collaborate daily with Design, Product, and QA teams, ensuring features are accessible, user-friendly, and aligned with business goals
  • Document patterns, architectural decisions, and onboarding materials, enabling team knowledge sharing and reducing ramp-up time for new contributors
  • Deliver performant, high-quality features across iOS and Android, optimizing for user experience, maintainability, and long-term scalability
  • Continuously improve developer experience by refining workflows, code reviews, and tooling that help the team ship faster with confidence
  • Stay current with platform trends and emerging technologies, and bring forward ideas that future-proof the mobile stack
