The IT Systems/Network Administrator is responsible for the maintenance, operations, and application development of the companywide computer system and network.

Starting Salary Range: $143,100.90 - $147,870.93

This is an in-person position located in Fairbanks, Alaska

What you will do
  • Perform installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and quality assurance activities of network devices and firewall systems, in a production environment.
  • Install, maintain, and control network systems both at the hardware and software level.
  • Install new software releases and system upgrades.
  • Evaluate and install software patches.
  • Maintain configuration files and monitor system configuration to ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
  • Resolve network configuration errors, break-fixes, and outages in support of critical infrastructure environments.
  • Install and maintain the physical/logical network infrastructure.
  • Provide support as needed to the OT Network Engineer.
  • Manage, configure, and operate Cisco Call Manager environments (Unified Communications).


Conditions of Employment
Must pass a pre-employment drug test, random drug test thereafter in accordance with the published policy of Doyon Utilities. Must have a valid driver's license issued by the State of Alaska. Must be eligible to work on a military installation in Alaska. Eligibility to work on a military installation includes compliance with Department of Defense mandates with respect to employee background and health directives.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree Information technology or related field. Preferred
  • 5+ years related job experience. Required
  • 2 years Experience in the operation and maintenance of Cisco Call Manager and Unit, Cisco switches and routers across a complex layer 2/3 environment. Required
  • Competence in the operation and maintenance of network hardware and applications to include: Cisco ASA (and other firewalls), VLAN, LAN and WLAN environments. (High proficiency)
  • .Net development tools experience. (High proficiency)
  • The ability to maintain strict confidentiality policies (DBA crossover) (High proficiency)
  • Demonstrated ability to work well and communicate effectively with staff, co-workers and users. (High proficiency)
  • Sufficient knowledge/experience in MS Office reports to support them. (High proficiency)
  • Sufficient knowledge/experience in Win Server 2003 & 2008, MS Exchange Server 2003 (2010), IIS, Active Directory, etc. (High proficiency)
  • Sufficient experience in .Net development/System Reporting tools. (High proficiency)
  • SharePoint administration skills (High proficiency)
  • Virtualization/ESX skills (High proficiency)
  • Retina, or other similar network scanning tools desirable. (High proficiency)
  • Demonstrated ability to work well and communicate effectively with staff, co-workers and users. (High proficiency)
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. (High proficiency)
  • Expert level knowledge on the use of appropriate tools to manage and diagnose network environment. (High proficiency)
  • Exceptional attention to detail. (High proficiency)
  • CCNA required, CCNP preferred. Upon Hire Required
