Starting Salary: $115,000 to $120,000 per year
The Opportunity:
A Real Estate Manager has responsibility consistent with the strategy to bring forward capital growth opportunities for new industry builds and dealer acquisitions.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, pursue and gain approvals for suitable retail and commercial properties for purchase or lease of new gas stations or single site dealer acquisitions in targeted areas through a combination of networking with developers, real estate agencies, industry associations, co-development partners (QSR), fuel dealers and/or internal stakeholders.
- Accountable to navigate each complex project through to completion while maintaining economic thresholds, timelines and quality
- Support business development initiatives
- Strong communicator with the ability to drive projects with internal stakeholders in operations, marketing, construction, environment and legal
- Other duties, as assigned
- This position is eligible to work remotely
Education:
- Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree or equivalent experience and education
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of in-depth commercial real estate & development experience including new developments, re-developments and divestitures
- Preparation of comprehensive financial development and market assessments for project proposals
- Effective time management, strong negotiations skills with ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Knowledge of the fuel and convenience store industry would be a priority
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization
- Self-starter with the ability to travel and work with little supervision
- Demonstrates a positive, professional, and customer-oriented attitude about the company with co-workers, clients, and the public
- Proficient in Microsoft Office providing the ability to prepare and present development package for management approval.
