Description:
FAME is seeking a collaborative and innovative professional to join the executive leadership team as the Chief Communications Officer. The primary responsibilities of this role include ensuring that all communication efforts are aligned to support the mission and strategic objectives of FAME. This position encompasses strategic communications planning, risk and reputation management, brand management, program promotion, customer engagement strategy management, and internal communications aimed to standardize and increase employee engagement in support of FAME's strategic initiatives.
The role requires collaborative planning across various departments to ensure unified messaging with all external stakeholders, including FAME's partners, vendors, customers, and the public. Additionally, this position oversees FAME-wide communications and marketing initiatives while leading a diverse team of professionals in marketing, communications, governmental affairs, and organizational transformation. This strategic approach ensures alignment of communication strategies with organizational goals, fostering brand awareness across all lines of business within FAME.
This position is a full-time permanent role with benefits.
Requirements
Salary Description
$140,000 - $180,000 annually

Requirements
- Four (4) year degree in related field is required (or an appropriate combination of education and work experience), plus specialized training in marketing and/or communications. Prefer Master of Business Administration.
- Minimum of ten (10) years related business experience.
- Demonstrated history of effectively managing and overseeing multi-function teams.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills, as well as strategic thinking skills.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in interpersonal relations, and oral and written communication. The ability to clearly present to audiences of varying sizes and backgrounds is required.
- Deep and proven understanding of media relations best practices and norms.
- Proven ability to make good public relations decisions under stress.
- Ability to provide effective coaching and feedback to others.
- Experience with marketing and advertising initiatives including design.
- Strong time management, project management and problem-solving skills are required. Superior organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Must possess a positive, achievement-oriented attitude to build strong relationships with all clients, vendors and staff.
- Proven understanding of managing projects, new product development and launch, and developing strategic plans.
