POSITION: Lead Software Engineering

JOB LOCATION: 208 S. Akard St. Dallas, TX 75202

DUTIES: Collaborate to gather and review software requirements and user stories, provide estimates, create software design specifications, and collaborate with engineers and architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions. Execute a specific development methodology through application of various programming languages. Create and execute automated test plans and strategies utilizing business requirements and collaborate with engineers and architects, clients, etc. to validate test environments, test data and test results, design and implement code fixes, validate outcomes against expected results and produce associated reporting. Support applications and solves configuration and environment issues. Develop and thorough unit testing of critical software programs, ensuring their functionality and reliability meet stringent requirements and standards. Implement a version control mechanism entails selecting and using the most suitable version control tool to facilitate efficient collaboration and code management within the software development process. Monitoring applications within the production environments and delivering real-time support to analyze and troubleshoot issues as they arise. This involves promptly identifying and resolving any issues to ensure seamless operation and minimize disruptions to service. DevOps automation involves implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline the software delivery process. This entails automating various stages of development, testing, and deployment to enable faster and more reliable releases of software updates and features. Conducting diverse code scans is essential to uphold code quality and ensure compliance with established standards. Additionally, providing support for ad hoc requests from the System Testing team, such as assisting with test data creation and analysis, contributes to comprehensive testing procedures and the overall reliability of software solutions. Implement SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) and Agile methodologies. Utilize a scaled agile development environment, manage multiple concurrent projects ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and adherence to SAFe principles. Develop and maintain full-stack web applications using modern technologies and tools. Build APIs for efficient communication between front-end and back-end utilizing industry standard frameworks and tool. Utilize scripting languages (PHP 5, HTML5, EJB, JMS, Struts Framework, Spring Framework, JPA, Node.js, Servlets, JSP, JSF, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, and Angular UI Framework). Utilize Java, Python, Microservices, and Web Services (RESTful Services). Utilize integration and deployment with Jenkins Project management with JIRA. Utilize Cloud platforms: Azure, AWS and GCP. Utilize database technologies: PL/SQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, and Titan DB. Employ application servers: Oracle Weblogic Server 12c and Tomcat. Utilize development environments: Eclipse, Netbeans, IntelliJ, Visual Studio Code and Webstorm. Utilize Database management tools: Toad, and SQL Developer. Apply testing tools: SOAP UI, POSTMAN. Utilize Version control systems: Git, Gitlab and TortoiseSVN. Use build automation tools: Maven, and ANT. Operate infrastructure as code: Terraform.
