Job Description

At CIMA+, our strength lies in our people. We're currently looking for a Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) who shares our commitment to collaboration, excellence, and innovation to help support our continued growth in Western Canada.

As a Senior HRBP, you will serve as a trusted advisor and coach to leaders and employees across the province. Reporting to the Lead HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering meaningful, people-centered HR solutions that align with both regional needs and our organizational vision. Your work will directly contribute to creating a respectful, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture-hallmarks of the CIMA+ experience.

You will be based in our Vancouver office, with the expectation to be in the office at least 2 times /week and will support our offices across Western Canada.

Your Impact at CIMA+
  • Partner with and coach managers and leaders across Western Canada on all facets of HR management, including:
    • Employee engagement and retention
    • Managing performance and performance gaps
    • Compensation management
    • Communication
    • Training and development
    • Talent acquisition support
    • Managing internal processes and policies
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with team members and leaders, promoting a culture of respect, integrity, and open dialogue.
  • Stay closely connected with the Western Canada teams to understand their unique challenges and deliver tailored, agile HR solutions that support local and organizational goals.
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement in HR practices, and work with leaders to navigate these strategically while nurturing their leadership capabilities.
  • Champion and represent the HR function in various internal projects and initiatives, ensuring that people-first solutions are always prioritized.
  • Support change management initiatives in a rapidly growing environment, contributing to a culture that embraces evolution and innovation.
  • Act as a go-to resource for employees seeking clarity and support across a broad range of HR topics.
  • Stay informed of employment legislation, industry best practices, and emerging HR trends to ensure CIMA+ remains progressive and compliant.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to support onboarding and integration of new hires.
  • Lead or support employee engagement efforts across your client groups, fostering an environment where people feel valued, heard, and empowered.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field
  • 12+ years in an HR Generalist or Business Partner role, with a strong service orientation
  • In-depth knowledge of Western Canada employment laws and HR best practices
  • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships and influence at all levels
  • Demonstrate leadership and the ability to influence through an excellent sense of judgment
  • Strong coaching, communication, and conflict resolution skills
  • A self-starter mindset with a high level of autonomy and accountability
  • Strategic thinker with strong judgment and a drive for continuous improvement
  • Experience working in fast-paced, change-oriented environments
  • Membership in a recognized professional HR association is preferred
  • Experience in the professional services or engineering consulting industry is preferred

The expected salary for this position is from $95,000 to $120,000 based on the richness and diversity of the candidate's experience, training, skills and internal equity. The position or associated salary could vary depending on the profile of the candidate.
