Pembroke CCSD #259The Board of Education of Pembroke Community Consolidated School District #259, Hopkins Park, Illinois is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Superintendent. The Board wishes to select a Superintendent who will begin work on July 1, 2025. It is anticipated that the total compensation package will be based on successful experience and education as negotiated with the selected individual. It is expected that the initial contract will be for a multi-year period, as authorized by Illinois statutes.
DUTIES:
The Superintendent shall be the Chief Executive Officer for the District. He/she is responsible for the effective operation of the District; for the general administration of all instructional, business or other operations of the District; and for advising and making recommendations to the Board of Education with respect to such activities. He/she shall perform all the duties and accept all of the responsibilities usually required of a Superintendent as prescribed by the Illinois State Board of Education.
Ideal Candidate:
Candidates will be evaluated on their professional merits and successful experience that demonstrates a good match for the district, with emphasis on the following, specified by the Board of Education. The Superintendent of our district should be an educational leader who:

- has experience in planning both long and short range district goals with the Board of Education.

- has the ability to successfully apply the legal requirements involved in the administration and management of a public school district including labor relations and the management of the negotiated contract.
- ISBE Professional Educator License with Superintendent Endorsement (required)
- Principal evaluator designation (required)
- Teacher evaluator designation (required)
- Masters degree in Curriculum & Instructions (required) and / or Educational Leadership (Doctoral preferred)
- Five or more years demonstrated successful administrative experience working within the PreK - 8th grade environment (required)
- CSBO Licensure (preferred)
