Key Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs and competitive positioning within the aftermarket and control systems segments.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with the company's goals.
- Monitor industry developments and recommend adjustments to the product roadmap as needed.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, global services and R&D teams to guide product design and development.
- Define product requirements, specification, and performance targets based on market needs and customer feedback.
- Ensure timely delivery of products and solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Work closely with sales and marketing teams to develop customer-centric messaging, tools, and campaigns.
- Support sales and applications engineering by providing technical expertise and product knowledge.
- Collect customer feedback related to aftermarket and control systems product offering.
- Develop pricing strategies and manage product profitability.
- Track product performance metrics and ensure alignment with financial goals.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between product strategy and operational execution.
- Act as a liaison between stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
- Present product updates, business cases, and strategic initiatives to executive leadership
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electric or Electro-Mechanical Engineering for a four-year college or university, or equivalents combination of education and experience.
- Basic knowledge of Product Management principles and theory, and experience with new product development processes preferred.
- Strong technical understanding of centrifugal air compressor technologies, including compressed air control systems, applications and market dynamics preferred.
- Proven ability to develop and execute product strategies and roadmaps.
- Demonstrated Customer Centric attitude.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills including ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively
- Interpersonal influence; able to collaborate and work closely with other departments and leadership
- Excellent problem solving, process analysis, and improving business practice skills
- Outstanding time-management skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while meeting deadlines
- Self-motivated, resourceful and adaptable; able to work independently within team focused environment
- Must possess a strong personal desire for improvement and the desire to motivate others to be better tomorrow than they are today
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 software; CRM, ERP & Marketing Automation systems experience preferred
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers, attend industry events, and support global teams.
