Description

FS-Elliott is hiring a Product Manager to lead strategic planning and product development for aftermarket and control systems. The role involves managing a parts and control systems portfolio to boost profitability and growth, aligning with customer needs and market trends. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in centrifugal compressors and air compressor controls, along with proven strategic and collaborative skills in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs and competitive positioning within the aftermarket and control systems segments.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with the company's goals.
  • Monitor industry developments and recommend adjustments to the product roadmap as needed.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, global services and R&D teams to guide product design and development.
  • Define product requirements, specification, and performance targets based on market needs and customer feedback.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products and solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to develop customer-centric messaging, tools, and campaigns.
  • Support sales and applications engineering by providing technical expertise and product knowledge.
  • Collect customer feedback related to aftermarket and control systems product offering.
  • Develop pricing strategies and manage product profitability.
  • Track product performance metrics and ensure alignment with financial goals.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between product strategy and operational execution.
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
  • Present product updates, business cases, and strategic initiatives to executive leadership


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electric or Electro-Mechanical Engineering for a four-year college or university, or equivalents combination of education and experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Product Management principles and theory, and experience with new product development processes preferred.
  • Strong technical understanding of centrifugal air compressor technologies, including compressed air control systems, applications and market dynamics preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute product strategies and roadmaps.
  • Demonstrated Customer Centric attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills including ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively
  • Interpersonal influence; able to collaborate and work closely with other departments and leadership
  • Excellent problem solving, process analysis, and improving business practice skills
  • Outstanding time-management skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while meeting deadlines
  • Self-motivated, resourceful and adaptable; able to work independently within team focused environment
  • Must possess a strong personal desire for improvement and the desire to motivate others to be better tomorrow than they are today
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 software; CRM, ERP & Marketing Automation systems experience preferred
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers, attend industry events, and support global teams.
