The Education Director will lead the development and execution of strategic plans for key market segments. This cross-functional role includes marketing leadership, product planning, sales alignment, and customer engagement to drive growth and differentiation. The Director will serve as the subject matter expert for assigned segments, collaborating across departments to deliver innovative, customer-focused solutions and ensure alignment across all functions.

The Education Director will lead the development and execution of strategic plans for key market segments. This cross-functional role includes marketing leadership, product planning, sales alignment, and customer engagement to drive growth and differentiation. The Director will serve as the subject matter expert for assigned segments, collaborating across departments to deliver innovative, customer-focused solutions and ensure alignment across all functions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead the overall segment strategy to meet customer needs and drive differentiation and growth.
- Partner with analytics team to quantify market opportunities and share across national, regional, and local markets.
- Analyze market trends, customer behaviors, and sub-segments to inform strategic planning.
- Collaborate with Product, Communications, Sales, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to create a unique and compelling value proposition.
- Provide regular updates on strategic initiatives, ensuring progress and adaptability.
- Act as a thought leader for assigned segments, communicating customer insights to internal and external stakeholders.
- Define product needs with the Design team and guide the Marketing team through successful product launches.
- Develop sales tools and briefs that equip the sales team to effectively execute in the field.
- Champion cohesive brand messaging across all marketing efforts by working closely with Creative, Transform Studio, Strategic Accounts, and Sales teams.
- Build relationships with key influencers, including end users, architects, designers, academics, and industry organizations.
- Work with training teams to train, motivate, and organize segment-focused sales associates; integrate their feedback into strategic planning.
- Manage segment-based Sales Councils and Communities to strengthen field engagement and communication.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or 7+ years sales / marketing, or related business experience
- Previous leadership experience (1-3 years Supervisory Experience)
- Healthcare/Education segment experience preferred
- Ability to travel 35%
- Ability to be in office at the Create Centre, Cartersville GA 3-5 days a week depending on the needs of the business, travel schedule and collaboration focus
