We are seeking a bold, curious, and innovative AI Product Manager to spearhead AI-powered solutions that push the boundaries of what's possible in digital learning. Your job is to transform traditional education models through AI innovation, designing products that anticipate needs, personalize experiences, and turn passive learners into active, engaged problem-solvers.

This role is perfect for someone who doesn't just follow industry trends but shapes them. You will partner with like-minded engineers, user experience professionals, and evaluators, leading initiatives that reimagine how students, faculty, and staff experience education.

Essential Duties:
  • Own the AI vision - Define and execute a product strategy that brings AI to the forefront of learning and student support.
  • Disrupt with purpose - Challenge legacy approaches and develop AI-driven solutions that personalize education at scale
  • Push the limits of AI - Work with engineers, UX professionals and leaders to develop and refine AI applications such as intelligent tutoring, AI agents and custom GPTs.
  • Build for scale - Design AI-powered tools that serve 100,000+ students and faculty worldwide without sacrificing individual impact.
  • Stay 10 steps ahead - Monitor AI trends, emerging technologies, and ethical considerations to ensure our products are future-proof.
  • Drive measurable impact - Define success metrics, analyze performance, and iterate fast to optimize AI-powered solutions.
  • Be the AI evangelist - Educate stakeholders, from university leadership to frontline educators, on AI's potential and best practices.
  • Other: Assume or coordinate other duties or projects as assigned or directed.


NOTE: This is not a fully remote position. Must be able to reliably commute to Scottsdale AZ.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Product Management, User Experience, Graphic Information Technology, Human-Systems Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience building AI solutions - Whether it's custom GPTs, chatbots, or prompt engineering, you know how AI can enhance user experiences.
  • Demonstrated experience adapting to the AI acceleration - Show us how you use gen AI and AI tools on the regular and in what ways AI has reshaped your lens on what productivity and creativity means.
  • Evidence of strong data skills - You know how to analyze AI-driven insights, define key metrics, and make informed product decisions.
  • A track record of challenging norms - Demonstrated experience that you disrupted an industry, reshaped a product, or built something people said was impossible.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with AI ethics - You understand the importance of fairness, transparency, and responsible AI development.
  • Demonstrated experience working with LLMs - Experience with prompting, fine-tuning, model training, accuracy, or deployment.
  • Deep collaboration skills - Demonstrated experienced at collaborating with and leading others.

Working Environment:
  • Your desk will be in the beautiful, cutting-edge, and collaborative workspace at SkySong, the ASU Scottsdale Innovation Center. The Center houses a diverse business community that links technology, research, education, and entrepreneurship to position ASU and Greater Phoenix as global leaders in the knowledge economy.

    Activities are primarily performed in a regular, climate-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting or standing. Daily use of desktop or laptop computer is required, along with the ability to clearly communicate in English to perform essential duties.

    EdPlus at ASU supports flexible work options, ranging from alternate work schedules to hybrid remote work schedules, subject to approvals per ASU policy. (This is NOT a fully remote position.)

    Applicant must be eligible to work in the United States. EdPlus at ASU will not be a sponsor for this position.


Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Driving is not required for this position.
