Description:
Strong technical leader proficient in both Python and Tableau, with a focus on the development and maintenance of dashboards and reports.
Should be able to design and build custom APIs and Web data connectors for Tableau integration with external Webservices.
This role would likely involve mentoring junior developers, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of Tableau-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing and maintaining Tableau dashboards and reports: This would involve translating business requirements into technical specifications and creating visually compelling and interactive dashboards.
Working with Python for data manipulation, analysis, and automation: This could include using Python for data extraction, transformation, loading (ETL) processes, and automating routine tasks.
Collaborating with stakeholders: Understanding business needs, gathering requirements, and presenting data insights in a clear and engaging manner.
Mentoring and guiding junior developers: Providing technical guidance and support to team members.
Ensuring data quality and accuracy: Implementing data validation and testing procedures.
Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues: Addressing technical challenges and ensuring the smooth operation of Tableau systems.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Proficiency in Tableau: Extensive experience with Tableau Desktop and Server, including dashboard creation, data modeling, and data preparation.
Strong Python programming skills: Experience with Python for data manipulation, analysis, and automation.
SQL proficiency: Ability to write complex SQL queries and work with relational databases.
Data visualization experience: Understanding of data storytelling and best practices for creating effective visualizations.
Leadership and mentoring skills: Ability to guide and motivate junior developers.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders and technical teams.
Problem-solving and analytical skills: Ability to identify and resolve technical issues and analyze data to identify trends and insights.
Experience with data warehouse and ETL processes: Understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience with ETL tools.
Experience with Agile development methodologies: Understanding of Agile principles and best practices for software development.
Salary Range : $70,000-$140,000 a year
