Position OverviewSaylor is looking for an Associate Director, Brand Social to craft and execute social strategies for our consumer brand clients. This role will oversee social media operations, develop platform-specific strategies, and drive measurable engagement across all current and emerging social platforms. Reporting to the Director of Social, this role will serve as the primary social contact for assigned accounts, in addition to acting as a key leader within the team-leading the consumer brand vertical and managing and coaching junior team members.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with consumer brands - particularly in the lifestyle, F&B and/or travel space. They should have a strong command of social strategy-particularly the use of digital platforms, audience behavior and trends. They should be a natural leader with a mastery of their field, able to think on their feet and confidently liaise with senior level clients.
Location and Salary
This is a full-time, exempt role with a salary range of $120,000-$142,500 depending on experience. The contract-to-hire period will be three months. This is a remote role and candidates should be comfortable working east coast hours, and preference will be given to candidates in New York or New Jersey.

Responsibilities
- Lead the social strategy + execution for assigned consumer brand clients
- Knows the ins and outs of the client brand strategy, is knowledgeable and confident enough to make quick pivots and communicate to client directly.
- Establish strong rapport with client counterparts and gain a thorough understanding of the project requirements.
- Partner with the Director of Social to provide guidance and feedback at key checkpoints, ensuring strategies are aligned with broader objectives.
- Collaborate with the strategy team to set clear expectations and goals for the campaign. Maintain high-level oversight, stepping in as necessary to elevate the work and ensure top-tier execution.
- Work cross-functionally with the Strategy and Creative teams to ensure deliverables are socially optimized, on-strategy and on-brand.
- Step in proactively when issues arise, offering solutions and direction to elevate the quality of the creative and delivery.
- Continuously push the team to stay ahead of trends, helping clients anticipate their audience's needs and leverage emerging opportunities.
- Act as a mentor to both junior and senior Social Media Managers, fostering a collaborative environment and helping elevate the skill sets of the team.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in consumer brand strategy, with a focus on social and digital marketing.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, balancing the needs of both client and internal stakeholders.
- Strong background in developing social strategies across a variety of clients.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally.
- A proactive, forward-thinking approach to problem-solving, with a knack for spotting trends and keeping teams ahead of client needs.
- Lifestyle, F&B and/or travel experience is a plus.
