Description APPLE INC has the following available in Austin, Texas. Design and develop software for Apple's Customer Systems team using Object Oriented principles, Design Patterns and Java/J2EE related Frameworks. Design, implement and unit test Java/J2EE based applications for Apple's mission critical customer facing applications. Work with cross functional teams to analyze business requirements and convert them into engineering design specifications by producing class, sequence and component diagrams. Collaborate with a geographically diverse teams to perform peer code reviews in Git tool. Should be able to develop deep understanding of AppleCare functional domain knowledge as part of the job. Keep up to date on new technologies and offer analysis of present or future benefit to Apple. Provide application support working with cross functional engineering and business teams during various testing and production phases of projects for a smooth production release. 40 hours/week.

Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
- 2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
- Using Java/J2EE related technologies, including building and managing webservices for software systems using Object Oriented Programming, Design Patterns and Data Structures to build and manage webservices needed for the Apple software systems.
- Building webservices and solving complex problems using Spring Framework.
- Using SQL/NoSQL, Oracle and Mongo Databases to store data, including experience in designing and solving complex problems with high performance needs.
- Using Kafka, including experience solving async event based problems, streaming application events and notifying events to distributed systems.
- Implementing high performance webservices using Spring Reactive stack which uses non blocking i/o threading model.
- Designing, implementing and integrating with software systems using Distributed Caching Technologies to improve performance.
- Designing and Implementing Active-Active software systems in cloud based environment to achieve ZERO downtime using NGNIX, Oracle GoldenGate steaming with conflict resolution, Kubernetes and any other needed cloud related technologies.
- Debugging and fixing performance issues such as memory leak, and high CPU utilization in Java/J2EE based applications
