Overview:
The Director of Strategic/Direct Purchase Accounts will work cross functionally with the decision makers throughout the Vestis organization. This position will be a strategic partner within the Financial Shared Services leadership team. This position will coordinate and lead the overall daily efforts of Vestis Strategic and Vestis Direct Purchase Collections activity that has been consolidated to Financial Shared Services. This position will be responsible for managing approximately 30-40 team members.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Responsible for directing, planning, designing, implementing, maintaining and administration of all Vestis Strategic and Direct Purchase collections programs to meet organizational objectives and competitive position in the marketplace.
- Management of an AR portfolio in the range of 150M-200M.
- Collaborate with organizational leadership to ensure the overall Vestis Strategic and Direct Purchase collections strategy aligns with and supports the corporate business strategies.
- Lead, develop, review, evaluate, redesign, and manage the Strategic and Direct Purchase collections strategy.
- Maintain the integrity and quality of receivables in a manner that promotes sales growth while minimizing bad debt.
- Daily interaction with National Account Managers & Key Account Managers, MC Staff, Direct Purchase leadership, Largest/Strategic Customers, Internal/cross functional departments, and Vestis executive leadership to develop relationships to better understand who our customers are and how to support their business needs.
- Coordinate regular AR meetings with National Account Managers & Key Account Managers, MC Staff, Direct Purchase leadership, Largest/Strategic Customers, Internal/cross functional departments, and Vestis executive leadership to review high visibility, critical accounts to strategize on how to keep past dues to a minimum while maintaining and promoting strong partnerships focused on customer retention.
- Establish, maintain, and coach to metrics to provide maximum departmental effectiveness.
- Support the implementation of significant business changes, including new AR and collections platforms.
- Develop and implement collections strategies to reduce DSO, past due percentages and increase cash flow.
- Communicate with customers regarding billing errors, pricing issues and cash problems limiting the payment to their account.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the activities enumerated above.

- Experience with large transactional sets

Experience/Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management
- MBA or CPA certification is a plus
- 10+ years' management experience in Accounting or Finance
- Experience managing collections process and collections workforce
- Experience with functional commercial collections
