We are currently seeking an Associate Director of our recently expanded Workplace Solutions Services Department, eager to grow our team as a part of our expanded Real Estate Services offerings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a willingness to grow as an individual and a team, be eager to work in a player-coach capacity and be excited to support clients and teammates.
What your day looks like.
Understands all phases of design, documentation and construction
Understands compliance with applicable building codes and regulations, jurisdictional reviews, and accessibility standards
Plans, coordinates and manages the project development process of commercial real estate spaces
Coordinates and collaborates with other lead design professionals to ensure design and documentation are in accordance with projects expectations
Participate in the proposal meeting with owners and occupiers to review the scope of work, discuss ways to reduce costs, provide value engineering ideas and supports proposal development process as needed
Lead the production, and coordination of project technical drawings through all project phases-from Concept Design through to Construction Administration.
Manage and mentor junior staff for design quality, technical detailing, and ensuring adherence to design intent, quality standards, and client objectives
Collaborate closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to facilitate the smooth delivery of projects, building trust and credibility as a subject matter expert
Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure alignment with scope and performance goals
Contributes to business development by establishing confidence with clients, actively encourages and seeks opportunities for follow-up business for each project
Identifies and assesses business opportunities that align with the team's capabilities and services
What Sets You Apart.
Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited institution in Architecture
10+ years of related experience in an architectural firm, designing complex projects in the commercial real estate space
Architectural License issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
Driver's License Required
Proficiency in Revit is required
Experience with MS Office Suite, MS SharePoint, MS Project, Autodesk, AutoCAD and Bluebeam
Solid working knowledge of building codes
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and concurrently execute multiple projects at various phases of design and delivery
Effective problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with clients and staff.

$115,000.00 Annually to $135,000.00 Annually
