Apps Dev Senior Java Analyst
AMCSSI is the strategic reference data settlement instruction repository. The application must support backward compatibility to the legacy SSI platform, as well as integrate with Middle and Back Office systems to consume settlement instructions from the strategic platform. System performance and data quality are vital in ensuring stability in daily transaction processing.
Potential Candidates must have experience with, and be enthusiastic about, developing all areas of java-based programming. The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: developing new application features including 80% testing coverage for every new code is in place, planning releases, assisting other team members to define technical solutions and troubleshooting issues, deploying changes on Linux servers and ECS/Cloud containers, perform code reviews.
All potential candidates must be able to work in a dynamic team environment which includes team members working with different technologies such as Java, angular, shell scripts across multiple regions, and be able to integrate their application components with other team members.

Job Responsibilities:
- Work with the AMCSSI BAs to understand requirements and team architect to drive technical solutions.
- Develop web-based front-end application and back-end components using approved technologies as per business requirements.
- Ensure unit testing is created and executed on every component and functionality changed.
- Monitor process flows and review alert messaging to proactively remediate potential issues.
- Continuously document all environmental procedures.
- Investigate level 3 issues and influence change with development teams to improve system stability and business objectives.
- Work collaboratively with other functional teams to investigate and remediate data quality issues.
- Improve personal and team productivity through innovations and use of available tools.
- Comply with mandated policies and procedures and contribute in procedural improvements.
- Accurately estimate effort for assigned tasks to the team and consistently meet commitments.
Qualifications
- Strong technical skills.
- Strong experience of Software Development Lifecycle process.
- Experience of delivering projects as part of a cross-location team.
- Should be hands-on and have ability to do technical specifications.
- Must have worked on unit testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, TestNG, and Cucumber.
Required Skills
- 5 -8 years minimum core Java
- 4+ years of experience with Spring Boot, Java messaging EMS and REST services
- 2+ years of experience UI development with Angular (from 5 up) and Bootstrap
- 2+ years of experience ECS Container
- Hibernate framework
- Basic Unix/Linux commands
- Mongo and Oracle Database - general CRUD activity
Education:
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
