Job Title: Quality Control Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Control Manager to oversee and ensure the quality control processes for large-scale construction projects. This role requires a thorough understanding of project requirements, compliance standards, and quality management duties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and be able to interface with customers and military representatives effectively.
Responsibilities
  • Interface with customers daily to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Oversee quality control processes for projects valued at $50 million and up.
  • Ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1 standards, including hazard identification, safety compliance, and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with military representatives who have final approval on hiring decisions.
  • Evaluate project size and completion, ensuring understanding of the full project lifecycle.
  • Responsible for quality management duties including quality of the works, material management, documentation, and close-out to ensure safe, quality, efficient, and effective project execution.
  • Direct inspections, document, and update appropriate records quickly and accurately.
  • Read specifications and resource documents to determine requirements and planning procedures.
  • Lead and manage quality processes including submittals, shop drawings, and as-builts.
  • Create and implement project-specific inspection and test plans and quality control plans.
  • Perform the USACE three phases of control: Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up.
  • Support Site Safety to ensure that projects are completed in accordance with safety procedures.
Essential Skills
  • 10 years' experience as a Project Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Construction Manager on similar-sized ($50 million+) and type construction contracts.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Quality Control Manager.
  • Experience with EM 385-1-1 standards.
  • Knowledge in hazard identification, safety compliance, and sustainability.
  • Experience with vertical build projects.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with military projects.
  • Working knowledge of Procore document control system.
  • Experience with large ground-up, Military/Federal/DOD, vertical projects.
  • Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors certification.
  • 4 Year Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction, or Building Science.
  • DBIDS certification.
Work Environment

The work environment is based at a military camp. The position includes car allowance, phone, and computer as part of the direct hire package.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $138000.00/yr.
This position is eligible for our benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and supplemental insurance. We also offer a 401(k) plan with company match, company paid holidays and vacation.

This is a fully onsite position in San Diego,CA.
