Position Overview
As a leader of the Certification and Skill Team within the Environmental Control Systems (ECS) function of BCA Engineering, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of aviation for both commercial and defense customers. Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Leads, develops, and motivates employees and first-level managers engaged in engineering and technical activities
- Collaborates globally across the Enterprise to ensure functional and technical excellence for the Environmental Control Systems skill
- Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives
- Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical oversight, and leads process improvements
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Forecast, hire, and onboard the function's staffing demands and capabilities needed to balance the work and maintain critical skills

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 5+ years of engineering experience in airplane systems engineering
- 3+ years of management experience leading engineering teams
- Experience in teaching, coaching, leading by influence, and developing others effectively
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Proven ability to lead with the Boeing Values and Behaviors
- Leadership experience in team building and motivating cross-functional teams to enhance engagement and performance
- Ability to fostering a collaborative environment that drives team success
- Experience in Environmental Control Systems or Aircraft Systems
- Knowledge and experience in certification processes and standards
- Experience with Development Programs and/or Sustaining Programs
