What You Will Learn:

The Senior Manager of Retail Merchandising, reporting to the Director of Retail Merchandising, is responsible for leading strategic merchandising initiatives and planogram execution across multiple retailers and skincare brands. This role manages the complexities of large-scale projects, cross-functional alignment, and retailer partnerships to deliver best-in-class merchandising that drives category growth and elevates the shopper experience.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development, execution, and optimization of planograms across national retailers.
  • Build retailer-specific merchandising strategies designed to influence shopper behavior and maximize category growth.
  • Establish and streamline internal workflows for planogram approvals, collaborating cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, and Category Development to drive alignment and efficiency.
  • Oversee third-party vendors for merchandise management, printing, and fixture execution.
  • Benchmark competitive merchandising strategies and share insights to inform planning and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Mentor and develop an Assistant Manager and Management Trainee, fostering continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives, identifying opportunities to elevate refillable formats and eco-friendly merchandising solutions.
  • Lead ad hoc special projects, including merchandising tests, category expansions, and reporting needs.

Job Scope:
  • Manage complex, multi-retailer planogram and merchandise projects balancing competing priorities, timelines, and requirements.
  • Oversee budget management for planogram production and execution, ensuring efficient utilization of resources.
  • Create, implement, and oversee continued evolution of strategies, remaining adaptable as team reacts to business needs and trends.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for retail partners, internal cross-functional teams, and third-party vendors.
  • Develop and maintain consistency in merchandising and category vision strategy across brands and retailers.
  • Lead the team's planogram SKU distribution and store list trackers, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and accountability across all reporting and tracking tools.
  • Provide leadership and accountability for assigned projects and objectives.
  • Work is reviewed against organizational objectives, deadlines, and overall business impact.
  • Drive category alignment with calendar to meet key timelines.
  • This position will provide contact and interaction with senior leadership.

What We Are Looking For:

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's college degree
  • 7+ years of experience in retail merchandising, space planning, or category development.
  • Understanding of planogram software (JDA, Spaceman, or equivalent) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Proven people management experience, including developing direct reports.

  • Strong project management skills with a proven ability to manage complexity and multiple high-volume projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across departments, including Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, and external partners.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
  • Proactive problem solver with strong decision-making skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of shopper behavior, retail trends, and competitive landscapes.
