Compensation Range: $156,560 - $224,910 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage media strategy development and planning to achieve client's campaign, marketing, and business objectives
- Deliver sound strategic media recommendations based on a clear understanding of brand objectives, substantiated by data and insights
- Ensure strategic integrity across all client-facing paid media deliverables, inclusive of work led by other disciplines such as audience prioritization, tactical recommendations, learning agendas, and measurement plans
- Ensure media strategies are explained clearly and concisely through compelling storytelling and data visualizations
- Be a leader who builds solid and positive relationships with clients across all levels and functions, develops their internal strategy team, and works collaboratively with discipline partners
- Mentor and train direct team to achieve personal and agency goals
- Provide vision, direction, guidance, and support to the internal team to ensure the work aligns with our mission and goals
- Drive innovation and thought leadership to generate modern marketing solutions for our client
- Proactively share new ideas and strategies with clients, as well as oversee the translation of these strategies into the final recommendations/plans
- Proactively facilitate internal and client brainstorms that drive successful outcomes
- Problem solve using critical thinking skills to achieve client business and marketing goals
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of media industry news and client business (current and historical perspectives) with a focus on upstream initiatives
- Identify and enhance internal process to increase team efficiency and effectiveness
- Partner with analytics and research teams to identify/apply learnings to learning agendas
- Collaborate with investment teams to ensure tactical strategies and recommendations deliver against media and marketing strategies
Qualifications
- 10-15 years of experience in media planning/strategy with progressive levels of responsibility
- 5+ years of previous management experience
- Able to strategically plan campaigns to align with client's strategic goals and KPIs
- Experience across all media types (e.g., national, local, social, direct, programmatic) with emphasis on digital and performance marketing
- Experience with MMM, ROI models, brand health research, media attribution models, and research to interpret data and apply learnings to media strategies and recommendations
- Able to anticipate and quickly assess continually changing client needs and adapt deliverables accordingly
- Ability to translate data into viable business solutions to enhance strategies
- Proven ability to encourage and aid in development of best-in-class strategies and recommendations
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills
