The Opportunity:
The Lead Project Controls Specialist will be responsible for providing comprehensive project controls support for the Construction Services & Materials Engineering (CSME) projects. This role involves directing the PC team. Tasks include, planning, scheduling, cost control, and risk management to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leadership skills, project management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

What you can expect to do here:
- You will direct and organize the CSME Project Controls team based on weekly and monthly directives to support the CSME business performance.
- You will develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including milestones and deliverables.
- You will monitor project progress and performance, identifying any deviations from the plan and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- You will prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders, highlighting key metrics and potential risks.
- You will conduct cost analysis and forecasting to ensure project budgets are adhered to and financial targets are met.
- You will implement and manage risk management processes, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
- You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- You will utilize project management software and tools to track and report on project performance.
- You will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
What you'll bring to WSP:
- Bachelor's degree, or College Diploma in a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project controls or project management, preferably in the engineering or construction industry.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Oracle, or similar tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
