About Converted Products
In 1993, Converted Products Inc. was founded by Chris Gorenc With ingenuity, solid business relationships, hard work and little money, Chris opened a slitting and die cutting business which served the Milwaukee area. Shortly thereafter, Converted Products added sheeting and ultrasonic laminating capabilities and tripled in size. Five years later, more growth inspired the move to our current location in Milwaukee. In February, 2025, Converted Products was acquired by OXCO, LLC, a custom non-woven converter in Fort Mill, SC, also founded in 1993 by entrepreneurs Jeff and Erich Meier who share Chris' passion for innovation, leading through values and unyielding focus on customer service.
Position Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for leading the Sales and Business Development activities for Converted Products. Driving revenue growth with current customers and the development of new customers within current and new markets is the primary KPI for the Business Development Manager (BDM).
The BDM takes ownership of the company's relationship with the customer's technical and non-technical teams, providing consultation and guidance aimed at ensuring their successful experience with the end-product. The BDM serves as an internal advocate for the customer, helping drive support and change, when necessary, to help the customer achieve their business objectives.

Functions/Responsibilities
- Conduct, behavior and actions in accordance with Converted Products' culture and values.
- Deliver revenue growth through the identification, qualification, and development of new opportunities.
- Manage your assigned accounts and develop broader opportunities within those accounts
- Assist in the development of sales forecast and strategic sales targets for the business
- Daily/weekly/monthly management of activities, pipelines, forecasts and closed deals to ensure above-quota results towards targets and establish mitigation plans if targets are not met
- Accountable for the overall success of the assigned territory and clients
- Collaborate with OXCO's sales team when there are synergies in accounts or markets that would allow creative solutions for customers.
- Utilize CRM and other data management systems, including inputting data and maintaining accurate up-to-date information. Follow all system policies
- Develop, negotiate and close long-term agreement with accounts
- Attain or exceed sales quota by identifying customers' business challenges and aligning products/services to create world-class solutions that deliver significant value
- Develop a relationship and work in cross-functional manner with Production and Product Management Teams, providing solutions and support to the customer
- Develop and maintain an "expert" level of knowledge on the company's offerings and options to provide creative, timely and profitable solutions to the customer while growing your business
- Prepare price quotes, prepare detailed sample requests, and execute timely sales orders
- Inspire followership by providing guidance and potential solutions where appropriate. Be a champion for the team by removing roadblocks and addressing issues head-on
- Report any issues or concerns that arise during transaction processing and day to day work to the Chief Commercial Officer

- Must be able to work extended hours when required
- Travel expectation is ~50%, including overnight travel, must be willing to work flexible schedule

Qualifications
Education:
- College degree (4 year) or equivalent experience
Experience:
- Required: 5 years highly successful sales experience with a champion track record
- Preferred: 2 + years related experience in Materials, Nonwoven or Converting industries
Skills:
- Track record of exceeding company sales quotas
- Demonstrated ability to increase profits and market share
- Strong technical aptitude: ability to learn and understand specific products, processes and strategies to best serve our customers
- Ability to maintain and build effective business relationships with customers, management, staff and co-workers
- Must be comfortable demonstrating products and solutions as well as speaking to technical and non-technical personnel alike
- Travel expectation is ~50%, including overnight travel, must be willing to work flexible schedule,
- Computer - ability to extract reports from various systems and use with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint to organize data into easily understood presentations
- Mathematical reasoning - perform mathematical and unit of measurement conversions, knowledge of common units of materials
