Job Description/Responsibilities
Hybrid role - 2 days remote and 3 days in office, based in Louisville, KY or Dallas, TX.
Responsible for managing a team of 8+ with 2+ direct reports. Includes overall strategy setting for the Accounts Receivable function, including budget planning, cashflow management, system development, KPI development and management, and other special projects as needed. May include global travel.
Leadership of the Global Accounts Receivable function includes overseeing the day to day processing of cash and the creation and processing of sales invoices; short term cashflow analysis; weekly EFT pulls and payment runs; bank and general ledger reconciliations; liaising with the treasury team; managing credit applications; managing aged debt through pro-actively building relationships with our customers including collection efforts; determining potential doubtful accounts; accurately issuing invoices and credit notes; utilizing technology (eg EDI), along with any other related task/function oversight for the US, Canada, Europe and the rest of the world. Ensures governance and controls are aligned with company policies and all tax and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the management of global accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and international regulations.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize cash flow and minimize DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) across multiple regions and currencies.
- Lead a team of accounts receivable professionals and outsourced resources, providing guidance, training, and performance management to ensure team objectives are met.
- Collaborate with sales, finance, and other cross-functional teams to resolve billing discrepancies, disputes, and customer inquiries promptly.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, addressing their concerns and ensuring timely payments while preserving positive rapport.
- Monitor and analyze accounts receivable aging reports, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement, and implementing proactive measures accordingly.
- Coordinate with the Global Credit Manager to develop and maintain credit policies and procedures, assessing creditworthiness of customers and establishing appropriate credit limits and terms.
- Implement automation and process improvement initiatives to streamline accounts receivable operations and enhance efficiency.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, summarizing key metrics, trends, and performance indicators related to accounts receivable.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance the effectiveness of global accounts receivable management.
- Conduct Performance reviews with direct reports to improve skills and performance utilizing PDS as tool to conduct optimal performance discussions, articulate consistent skill evaluations, recommend actions and tactics, and measure progress.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience, 2+ years of management experience
- Adaptable and comfortable with change in a high growth company
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to work as a team as well as self-directed to meet deadlines
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented
Preferred
- Experience in alcohol beverage industry or consumer packaged goods overall
