Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Communications Technician with COMSEC experience for the USV Operations and Sustainment program supporting Astrion Navy Division.
JOB DETAILS
LOCATION: San Diego, California
JOB STATUS: Full-Time
TRAVEL: Some travel may be required
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
SECURITY CLEARANCE: Current active Secret Clearance or Must be eligible to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.
CITIZENSHIP: Current U.S. Citizenship Required.
CERTIFICATIONS: N/A
EDUCATION / BACKROUND:
5+ years' experience as a technician for military communications equipment
Experience operating, maintaining, and repairing RF equipment
Experience operating, maintaining, and repairing Satellite Communications equipment
Able to work on small and large boats in a dynamic environment
Eligible for a Secret security clearance
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
Current Secret security clearance
Radio Frequency (RF) wireless communication troubleshooting and repair experience.
Experience working onboard navy vessels as an EKMS and Communications technician
Experience with unmanned systems
RESPONSIBILITIES
Install and operate line-of-sight and SATCOM digital communications equipment
Support at-sea testing of unmanned systems for the US Navy.
SALARY RANGE: Estimated $75,000 - $90,000 USD annually*
*depending on experience, certifications, and qualifications
