Position Overview

We are a stealth start-up that is rapidly growing and looking to bring on a Lead Frontend Engineer. This role is of high importance to the organization and will take ownership of the development, architecture, and delivery of the frontend applications. You will be tasked with leading a team of frontend engineers and work closely with product, design, and the backend team to create user interfaces that boost our AI models.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the creation, development, and upkeep of single-page web apps with Nest.js and Vue.
  • Establish and uphold best practices in testing, performance optimization, code quality, and component architecture.
  • By means of code reviews, pair programming, and continuous feedback, mentor and assist a group of front-end engineers.
  • To provide top-notch features, work cross-functionally with back-end developers, designers, and product managers.
  • Convert UI/UX wireframes into user experiences that are aesthetically pleasing, accessible, and performant.
  • Control CI/CD pipelines and front-end build procedures; make sure deployment procedures are scalable, quick, and maintainable.
  • Maintain a leading position in front-end trends and the Vue ecosystem by promoting innovation and constant improvement.
  • Promote user-centric performance and design on all platforms and browsers.

What you need:
  • 5+ years of relevant frontend experience
  • 1+ years in a technical leadership or mentorship role
  • Skilled in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • Extensive experience with Vue.js and libraries such as Vuex, XState or different state management tools
  • Foundational experience architecting frontend applications using MVVM patterns or similar design paradigms
  • Experience with SPA architecture, data flow design, and API integrations
  • Knowledge of build technologies such as Vite and Webpack as well experience in load performance and bundle size optimization
  • Demonstrated ability to convert intricate UI/UX specifications into clear, manageable, and efficient code
  • Proficiency in creating and managing end-to-end and unit tests (ex. Cypress, Jest)

Nice to have:
  • Familiarity with interactive graphics libraries such as WebGL or Three.js (particularly pertinent to AI visualization)
  • Knowledge of spatial data tools and GIS mapping techniques, particularly ArcGIS
  • Knowledge of WCAG accessibility guidelines and a dedication to inclusive design
  • Robust GitHub portfolio or contributions to open-source Vue.js projects
  • Prior experience spearheading front-end projects for data-intensive or AI applications
