Sous la supervision du Directeur - Planification fiscale mondiale, le/la Directeur.trice Fiscalit- Canada dirige la fonction fiscale des entits d'Alcoa au Canada. En tant que partenaire stratgique de l'entreprise, vous offrirez des conseils sur les consquences fiscales des transactions et contribuerez la planification et la stratgie fiscale globale de l'entreprise. De plus, vous veillerez la conformit avec toutes les rgles et rglementations fiscales au Canada.

Plus prcisment, vous allez :
  • Proposer des plans fiscaux et coordonner leur excution.
  • Participer activement des projets spciaux (restructuration organisationnelle, formation de coentreprises, etc.).
  • Travailler avec l'entreprise pour concevoir des politiques de prix de transfert et superviser la prparation de la documentation contemporaine canadienne requise en vertu des rgles de prix de transfert.
  • Superviser le processus de rclamation des crdits d'impt RS&DE.
  • Rpondre aux demandes des autorits fiscales et rgler les litiges fiscaux.
  • Collaborer avec le dpartement de la trsorerie sur les flux de trsorerie internationaux.
  • Effectuer les recherches et analyses fiscales requises.
  • Examiner les provisions fiscales canadiennes et les dclarations de revenus.
  • Surveiller la lgislation fiscale et conseiller sur son impact sur l'entreprise.
  • Diriger l'quipe fiscale canadienne.


Ce que vous apportez au poste :
  • BAC en finance, comptabilit ou une discipline pertinente pour le poste.
  • Matrise en fiscalit ou quivalent.
  • Membre de l'Ordre professionnel des CPA ou du Barreau du Qubec.
  • Minimum de 12 ans d'exprience pertinente en fiscalit.
  • Exprience en fiscalit internationale.
  • Bilingue - franais et anglais.
  • Excellentes comptences en rflexion stratgique et en analyse.


About the role:

Under the supervision of the Director - Global Tax Planning, the Head of Tax - Canada leads the tax function for Alcoa's entities in Canada. Acting as a strategic partner of the business, you will advise on the tax consequences of transactions and contribute to the overall tax planning and strategy of the company. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with all tax rules and regulations in Canada.

More specifically, you will:
  • Propose tax planning and coordinate its execution.
  • Actively participate in special projects (organizational restructuring, joint venture formation, etc.).
  • Work with the business to design transfer pricing policies and oversee the preparation of Canadian contemporaneous documentation required under the transfer pricing rules.
  • Oversee the SR&ED tax credit claims process.
  • Respond to requests from tax authorities and settle tax disputes.
  • Collaborate with the Treasury Department on international cash flows.
  • Conduct required tax research and analysis.
  • Review Canadian tax provisions and tax returns.
  • Monitor tax legislation and advise on the impact to the company.
  • Lead the Canadian tax team.


What you bring to the role:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a discipline relevant to the position.
  • Master's degree in taxation or equivalent.
  • Member of the Professional Order of CPAs or the Barreau du Qubec.
  • A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in taxation.
  • Experience in international taxation.
  • Bilingual - French and English.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and analytical skills.
