Responsibilities

We are seeking a Claims Supervisor that handles complex Property claims.

  • Supervise a team of complex property adjusters.
  • Manage meetings effectively and/or foster collaboration with others.
  • Monitor adherence to established goals and benchmarks for the adjusting unit.
  • Triage claims to the appropriate unit and adjuster.
  • Evaluate reserve and settlement requests ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
  • Negotiate claim settlements within authority limits.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in presenting comprehensive claim files to management and/or team members for effective decision-making and resolution.
  • Audit claim files for compliance.
  • Alert management to observed trends.
  • Review settlement activities for service and efficiency.
  • Onboard, train, coach, and mentor the adjusting unit.
  • Serve as a technical resource for the team.
  • Assist in employee evaluations, promotions, and retention.
  • Recognize developing personnel issues and act proactively.
  • Maintain active oversight in collaboration with legal teams while continuing to adjust litigated files.
  • Ensure the team is identifying subrogation opportunities and collaborate with the Subrogation department.
  • Ensure the team is identifying potential claims requiring SIU involvement.
  • Continually track and evaluate vendor performance.
  • Demonstrates proper use of email, voicemail, and Internet systems.
  • Expresses ideas/information accurately in oral and written form.
  • Ability to deliver constructive feedback to team members in a concise form with clear direction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.


Qualifications

  • Roughly 3 - 7 years of experience in adjusting property complex losses with potential damages in excess of $150,000.00.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction methodologies and mitigation protocols in the context of property losses, facilitating the accurate evaluation and adjustment of claimed damages.
  • Experience with commercial and/or E&S claims preferred.
  • Experience with Attorney/Public Adjuster represented and/or litigated files preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Xactware Products.
