Based in our Aiken, SC location; you will be responsible to improve the manufacturing processes, production layouts and material flow of our manufacturing plant through automation and/or engineering solutions.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the engineering team.
- Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement:
- Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing principles to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
- Lead and manage Six Sigma projects to reduce variability and enhance product quality.
- Drive Kaizen events and initiatives to continuously improve production processes and employee engagement.
- Project Management:
- Oversee engineering projects from conception through implementation, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance, to implement engineering changes and improvements.
- Process Optimization and Technical Support:
- Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and safety.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with the quality assurance team to maintain high standards of product quality and consistency.
- Cost Management:
- Develop and manage budgets for the engineering department. Define CAPEX budgets, monitor, report and control expenditure of the budget
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through process improvements and technology enhancements.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field such as industrial technology.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of control systems (PLC/PAC), ability to create programs/troubleshoot PLC's and/or automated assembly equipment.
- Strong analytical abilities to collect, analyze, and interpret data for informed decision-making and process improvement.
- Validated project management skills with the ability to complete projects effectively.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Strong mechanical abilities, troubleshooting experience with root cause analysis.
- Strong organizational ability, communication (written and oral), interpersonal, engineering drawing skills, and computer skills including Auto CAD and/or CREO as well as Microsoft office.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Master's Degree Mechanical, Electro Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering preferred, Operations Management, Business, or equivalent
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt, Black Belt, or Master Black Belt)
