Mount Aloysius College invites applications for a dynamic student affairs leader, who is a champion of and advocate for the holistic wellbeing of all students, to serve as its next Vice President for Student Affairs. Reporting to the President, the VP is the chief officer responsible for student life and engagement to support organizational retention and enrollment goals.

The VP will lead a team of professionals who promote unmatched support across the evolving spectrum of student engagement. Assigned areas of responsibility will include Student Activities; Residence Life & Housing; and Health & Wellness; and (based upon experience, talents, and capabilities) overseeing Title IX/Section 504 compliance, Campus Police & Safety, and additional student success efforts. Together, the Student Affairs team develops and implements innovative programming that engages students in meaningful experiences, builds community and complements academic achievements. The VP is further responsible to promote and measure the success of student life programming as it relates to and supports the Colleges enrollment and retention goals. Student Conduct, Judicial Board and related functions also fall under the VP's purview.

The VP is also an integral member of the President's Executive Council (PEC) who is collectively responsible for visionary leadership and innovative strategies to lead the College into the future. As such, the VP participates in institution-wide strategic planning, implementation, and policy development.
Qualifications
This position requires a breadth of knowledge and expertise in student affairs and a deep understanding of how those functions impact both organizational and student success, through enrollment policies, retention practices and overall student engagement.

The successful candidate will demonstrate big-picture thinking, emotional acumen, and have a proven track record of personal engagement and achievement with students. The ability to swiftly and effectively carry forward current initiatives, develop fresh ideas/strategies, and effectively communicate those ideas and lead others is also required. Master's Degree required, and 7-10 years' senior level, professional experience in higher education student engagement as a Dean of Students or Vice President for Student Affairs strongly preferred. Experience with budgets, budget oversight, strategic planning, and effective management of fiscal and human resources, plus high level of knowledge and experience managing Title IX also strongly preferred.
