Description APPLE INC has the following available in Austin, Texas. Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Work on Linux systems (Oracle Linux 6, 7, 8, 9 and Red Hat Linux 8, 9) administration and development of automation tools including Ansible and develop internal tools using programming languages like Python, GO and Ruby for Apple internal projects. Design, implement and support operating system technologies Oracle Linux and Red Hat Linux. Manage large scale Linux systems, 1000s of systems that runs on Operating system of Oracle Linux and Red Hat Linux. Maintain smooth operation of Linux systems with proper Apple internal monitoring tools. Configurate code changes for large scale systems on day to day requirements. Build new Linux hosts per the business requirements. Solve complex problems using both open-source and in-house tooling including Kernal-debugging, Strace, Linux internal tools and Apple internal tools. 40 hours/week.

Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
- 2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
- Managing Linux system health, network, utilization, availability, and hardware.
- Handling large scale Linux infrastructure systems to support customers and internal applications.
- Utilizing Versioning Tool Github.
- Using Python, Go, or Ruby to develop code and integrate modules.
- Using Shell to develop scripts that automate manual tasks.
- Managing a large set of servers through configuration management tools Ansible and Puppet.
- Managing and processing large sets of big data information through Splunk.
- Developing scripts for building, monitoring, and configurations using Jenkins, Git, Puppet and Python.
- Tracking, managing and resolving internal customer issues through various in-house ticketing tools and Service Now.
- Maintaining Linux infrastructure systems by building managing and using DNSS and DHCP to create reliable connectivity and bandwidth.
